Tessa Thompson
The actress Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983, in Los Angeles, California. Thompson is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) as well as the grandchild of Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She was raised at home in Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. She is of Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descent. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she participated in many theatre productions. In the years following her graduation she attended Santa Monica College where she obtained a degree in cultural Anthropology. In a performance at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she played Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo as well as Juliet". It was her performance that made her a NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Tessa's first TV appearance was during 2005, when she starred on CBS.
